Thank you to Val Weekes and the Eat to Slim ladies for the fantastic charity afternoon tea at Plaza 39 in La Marina. We were treated to some wonderful sandwiches and cakes on the day.
The following week Val presented ECCH volunteer Michelle Diggle with 1,000 euros which the group had collected throughout the year.
Normally Val would present a donation at the end of the year, however, due to lack of funds because of covid, they made the donation early so that the money could be used to give the children outings during the summer school holidays.
Thank you so much to Val, the Eat to Slim group and Plaza 39 for their much needed continued support. ... See MoreSee Less

The ECCH were delighted to be informed that Gary Minton is going to do an amazing 100 mile charity cycle ride in aid of The Elche Children's Care Home on 28th May. This is a tremendous feat and we are so grateful that he is supporting the children as we have received very little income since the start of the pandemic.
If would like to sponsor Gary, please contact Danny's Bar, Campoverde or go to the donate page on our website www.ecch.es and write GARY CYCLE RIDE in the concept.
Thank you so much to Gary and all his supporters with love from the children of ECCH.❤️ ... See MoreSee Less
Donation in Memory of Mick McGrath, Charities 4 Charities.
Recently two of our volunteers met with Sandra from Charities 4 Charities who have been fantastic long term supporters of ECCH. In March this year Mick McGrath, who was once president of Charities 4 Charities, sadly passed away in his beloved home of Ireland having made his home in Spain for the previous fifteen years. The charity wanted to say their goodbyes so via technology they were able to get together under covid restrictions and watch Mick take his final journey home to join Anne his beloved wife. Mick was loved by everyone, so a memorial collection was made and a very generous donation was handed to ECCH from Charities 4 Charities. It was donated with love from all of Mick's friends in Spain. May Mick, now with Anne, be at Peace. ... See MoreSee Less
Last year we launched the ECCH Christmas Jar Appeal in response to the crisis caused by the pandemic. Little did we know that one year later the situation would be even worse. At this point in time we are unable to arrange any events so have no money coming in. So, as the Christmas Jar Appeal was so successful last year we have decided to relaunch it again for Christmas 2021 in order to make sure that the children will at least get presents for Christmas and Three Kings Day.
If you want to join in our campaign, simply make your own savings jar, or you can download the labels attached - be as inventive as you like - and save 1 euro a week until Christmas.
We are aiming to get to 100 jars this year so please let us know that you are saving so we can add you to the list.
We'd also love a picture of you with your jar, or just your jar if you prefer, and we will share it on Facebook. Either send on messenger or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
